Global Properties

T4 is highly configurable. You can change what information is displayed on the Main Window, adjust your color scheme, enable sounds, and customize global settings for other T4 items from the Main Properties.

Click the Properties button in the upper right corner of the Main Window to open Main Properties.

General

  1. Change Password Change Password for your T4 login.
  2. Save Workspace to File Save your current workspace to a local xml file for later use and/or personal backup.
  3. Load Workspace from File Load your T4 workspace from the saved location.
  4. Load Workspace from user Load a previously saved workspace by username.
  5. Dual Workspace Allows user to save two different workspaces called Primary and Secondary. More than two work spaces can be used but any more than two must be saved locally on the client PC.
  6. Current Workspaces This is your current active workspace. Also allows you to switch between system layouts without having to restart.
  7. Force Right Click Displays a toggle on the main window that when checked causes the next left click to be treated as a right click.
  8. Top Most Whether T4 windows should be set to Top Most to say on top of other applications.
  9. Owner Form Enabled Allows you to minimize your main window without minimizing your entire work space.
  10. Last Trade Includes Spreads Whether or not last trade details include spread data or not.
  11. Implied Price Display Indicates with ( ) that some of the volume is implied through a spread. Implied prices can now be turned off completely.
  12. Implied Spread Positions Whether to display implied net position for spread markets or not. Account must be configured by Account or by Contract. (Contact your firm Administrator to check how your account is configured.)
  13. Use Held Settlement Some markets broadcast their settlements after the market is open. If enabled the late settlement will instantly be used in calculations.
  14. Use Implied Settlement Some strategy markets do not get settlement prices from the exchange. Enabling this allows the display of settlement prices implied from the strategy legs when there is no exchange provided settlement price.
  15. Depth Buffer Adjusts the market data refresh rate. Depending on market conditions and the buffer settings the refresh rate can go from 1 update a second to 20+ updates a second.
  16. Bandwidth Normal or Reduced. Reduced eliminates some market messages.One example is a wireless user would be more efficient.
  17. Trade Summary Some markets broadcast both the trade summary and a breakdown of individual order volumes that were part of the trade. if enabled only the summary volume is used. If disabled then the individual volumes that made up that trade are used. e.g. a 10 lot trades against two 5 lots. Trade Summary enabled will show a 10 lot trade. Trade Summary disabled will show two 5 lot trades. You may need to restart the application to see this change take full effect.
  18. Price Display(restart required) How to display prices. Click here to see the choices and examples. A save and restart of the platform is required.
  19. Strike Display(restart required) How to display prices. Click here to see the choices and examples. A save and restart of the platform is required.
  20. Contract Display Allows you to change the display names for the contracts. Click here to see the choices and examples. When you make the change you need to save your settings and log oout and back in for the change to take effect.
  21. Expiry Display Allows you to change the display of the Expiry Dates. Click here to see the choices and examples. When you make the change you need to save your settings and log oout and back in for the chnage to take effect.
  22. Account Messaging Whether or not account specific system messaging has been suppressed by the user.
  23. Bid/Offer P&L Display When enabled P&L is calculated and displayed off of bid/offer. Otherwise last trade is used.
  24. Advanced Whether the order ticked is displayed with advanced features.
  25. Price Protection Displays message that indicates if the order will be filled instantly.
  26. Submit Valid Only The order ticket will submit orders that are valid leaving invalid orders still in the list.
  27. Revision tracking The order ticket will stay open until manually closed or the orders are complete.
  28. Enabled Hide or show the keyboard entry tickets.
  29. Account Display Allows you to change how your acct is displayed.
  30. DDE Buffer Adjusts the market data refresh rate specific to the DDE feed. Depending on market conditions and the buffer settings the refresh rate can go from 1 update a second to 20+ updates a second.
  31. Replace Empty String The string that is returned in place of empty string when the calculated result is empty string.
  32. Open Office Whether the DDE format should be changed or Open Office support. This only effects how DDE formulas are built and copied into the clipboard. It does not prevent use of Excel and Open Office at the same time from a data streaming point of view.

Display

  1. Bid The primary bid color used throughout the system.
  2. Bid Background The bid color used in the background throughout the system where prices are not present.
  3. Bid Price Background The bid color used in the background throughout the system where prices are present.
  4. Bid Count The color used in the bid count field.
  5. Bid Count Background The background color of the bid count field.
  6. Offer The primary offer color used throughout the system.
  7. Offer Background The offer color used in the background throughout the system where prices are not present
  8. Offer Price Background The offer color used in the background throughout the system where prices are present.
  9. Offer Count The color used in the offer count field
  10. Offer Count Background The background color of the offer count field.
  11. Contract Grid Text The color of the text in the contract window grid.
  12. Positive Value The color of the positive values.
  13. Negative Value The colors of the negative value.
  14. Last Trade Last trade color.
  15. Last Trade Background Last trade background color.
  16. Settlement Settlement price color.
  17. High High price color.
  18. Low Low price color.
  19. Inactive My Bid The background color of the inactive area of the my bid column.
  20. Inactive My Offer The background color of the inactive area of the my offer column.
  21. Inactive Bid The background color of the inactive area of the bid column.
  22. Inactive Offer The background color of the inactive area of the offer column.
  23. Pit Mode Bid Background The background color of the bid column when the contract window is in Pit mode.
  24. Pit Mode Offer Background The background color of the offer column when the contract window is in Pit mode.
  25. Finished Orders The background color of finished orders. Shade finished orders must be enabled.
  26. Buy Order Text The color of the buy orders in the Order Book.
  27. Sell Order Text The color of the sell orders in the Order Book.
  28. Price Colors If set to true display contract window price column background in bid/offer colors.
  29. Grid Cell Border The color of the grid cell borders.
  30. Time Activation Background color in the time activation grid.
  31. Time Activation Alternate Alternate background color in the time activation grid.
  32. Tab Font Size The fond size of window tab strips.
  33. Grid Font Size The font size of window grids.
  34. Tab Font Bold Whether window tab strips are bold or not.
  35. Grid Font Bold Wheter window grids are bold or not.
  36. Price Format Whether or not to display cents.

Order Entry

  1. Cumulative at Price Trade volume can be displayed as either the most recent individual trade volume or the cumulative volume traded at the most recetn trade price. In total trade mode the trade volume is reset to zero if a new price is traded.
  2. Mouse Auto Focus Contract windows will become active by simply rolling the mouse over them.
  3. Order Confirmation Provides confirmation of an order prior to being submitted.
  4. Delay Market Conformation Provides confirmation of an order prior to being submitted into a delayed market. (For users who have chosen to view delayed markets in Market Data Setup page.)
  5. Mouse Submission Down Mode Submisson can either occur on a mouse down or a mouse up.
  6. Auto Quantity Reset A contract window quantity will automatically be reset to the specified value after an order is submitted.
  7. Auto Quantity Reset Value A contract window quantity will automatically be reset to the specified value after an order is submitted.
  8. Reset Order Type Resets a contract window to limit order mode following the submission of an order.
  9. One Click Stop Submits a stop order with a single click. Normal behavior is to enter a limit order which should fill instantly at the same price.
  10. Right Click Net Clip Applies a custom clip size to the net position quantity when using the right click net position setting in the contract window.
  11. Auto Pull Attempts to cancel orders that are already working that may fill against an order being placed. User: Set to user will pull orders across all accounts for a particular user. Account: Set to account will only pull orders that exist in the same account as the order being placed. You have two choices with this function. User: Will pull orders across all accounts for a particular user. Account: Will only pull orders that exist in the same account as the order being placed.
  12. Pull On Flatten Attempts to pull all working orders prior in particular market prior to flattening an open position using the flatten tool.

These setting change the volume field in the custom section of the volume bar, shown by clicking the Z

Main Window

Contract Window

  1. Left Click Price Centering Single click price centering on a left mouse click while over the price column of a contract window.This can be set to the following. *None *Price:Center the depth around the price that was clicked. * Market: Center the depth at the current bid and offer in the current Contract window. *Market all windows: Center the depth in all open Contract windows.
  2. Right Click Price Centering Single click price centering on a right mouse click while over the price column of a contract window.This can be set to the following.*None*Price:Center the depth around the price that was clicked. * Market: Center the depth at the current bid and offer in the current Contract window. *Market all windows: Center the depth in all open Contract windows.
  3. Show on Price Column Displays the last trade price on the price column of the contract window.
  4. Average Fill Price Display Average Open Fill: Calculate using the FIFO matched open fills only. Day Breakeven: Calculate using all the fills for the day = sum(buys)-sum(sells)/net Open Until closed: Calculate using increasing open positions only. Average only changes when a position is increased and not when it is reduced.
  5. Ladder Refresh Optimization Level A performance optimization that prevents unnecessary screen updates to reduce load on the application especially when running a large number of windows during busy market times. This is something you can change on the fly, we would not recommend ever going to disabled. In extreme busy markets we would look at possibly setting it to a slower setting. You really should not see any difference as the updates it is preventing should not affect the data you are seeing, if anything you should see an improvement.
  6. Price Limits Whether or not to display The exchanges price limits in gray on the contract window.
  7. Mode Countdown Select to display a countdown to the next market mode change on the contract window. Only works on markets where there is an exchange broadcasted trading schedule.
  8. Mode Countdown Time The number of seconds to countdown to the next market mode change.TIP: 84000 seconds is the max.
  9. Flatten Postion Adds the flatten position tool to the contract window toolbar.
  10. Trailing Orders Adds the Trailing Order tool to the contract window toolbar.
  11. Order Templates Enables the Order Templates.
  12. Order Types Adds the Order Types tool to the contract window toolbar.
  13. OCO's Adds the OCO tool to the contract window toolbar.
  14. GTC's Adds the GTC tool to the contract window toolbar.
  15. Activation Orders Adds the Activation Orders tool to the contract window toolbar.
  16. Max Show Orders Adds the Max Show Orders tool to the contract window toolbar. These are also called Iceberg orders.
  17. Stop Adds a separate Stop tool to the contract window toolbar and removes the too from the order types drop down.
  18. Stop Limit Adds a separate Stop limit tool to the contract window toolbar and removes the too from the order types drop down.
  19. Stop Same Limit Adds a separate Stop Same Limit tool to the contract window toolbar and removes the too from the order types drop down.
  20. Market Adds a separate Market to the contract window toolbar and removes the too from the order types drop down.
  21. MIT Adds a separate Market If Touched to the contract window toolbar and removes the too from the order types drop down.
  22. Drag Drop Orders can be revised with a drag and drop on the contract window. A revision can either be initiated on the most recent order entered at a given price or on all orders working at a given price.
  23. Display Right Displays the pull tool on the left or on the right.

Chart Window

Image Set custom chart intervals. The number of quick intervals can be changed and custom bar intervals can be set here. These custom intervals will then display in their usual place in the chart.

Orderbook

Image

  1. Highlight Changes Temporarily Highlight changes as they occur in the order book window.
  2. Shade Finished Orders that are finished. Meaning they can no longer be manipulated, are displayed in gray so they dont stand out compared to orders that are still active.
  3. Show Pull All Displays a Pull All button on order book views that contain active orders. This function is not available to Administrator, and Risk Manager users.
  4. Show Filter Bar Displays an additional filter too strip helpful for narrowing the number of orders displayed.
  5. Order Tags Preconfigured list of order tags that are made available to the order ticket for quick revision.

Fills

Right Click Change Account If enabled, selecting an account in the Account Board automatically updates the Current Trading Account. Risk Warning Fade Choose whether or not to fade the warning summary column in the Account Board Average Price Precision This is the number of additional decimal places to show on an average price.

Quote Board

Sounds

Enabled Audio alerts will be played when the box is checked. File The audio file that will be played when this alert is triggered. Play Sound Clicking here will play the currently selected sound, good for testing\confirming the sound. Users Whether or not the alert is played for all users or just your user. This is helpful if multiple users have the same account and you only want to hear alerts for orders you place. Expand/Minimize Click the Plus + to expand the view or the minus - to minmize the view.

Options Pro

General

Settings Show Helpful Hints: Show information when hovering over the controls. Reference Price Feed: When possible price feeds will be provided from related(reference) products which may be more active. For example when The Big SP does not trade electronically while it continues to trade in the pit. During these periods the price feed will be provided off the Emini SP. Time Change All DTE: DTE= Days to Expiration. This amount will change every series “Adjust DTE” in order to increase or decrease DTE. Possible Uses * To take the weekend out early. * Positive=increase DTE * DTE Display If there is an adjustment to the DTE it will be followed by the amount in parenthesis * Option Sheets: The back color of the DTE will be green. Theoretical Value: Make the Theoretical Value a tradeable tick. This reduces precision. Vega: Make the Vega a tradeable tick. This reduces precision. Theta: Make the Theta a tradeable tick. This reduces precision. Decimal Places Theoretical Value: Set the amount of precision for Theoretical Value. Vega: Set the amount of precision for Vega in ticks. Theta: Set the amount of precision for Theta in ticks. Volatility: Delta: Number of decimal places for the Delta. Gamma: Number of decimal places for the Gamma. OEs: Number of decimal places for all of the OEs(OEV, OEG, OET). Static Futures Price Levels: Globally set the number of visible price levels for the static futures pop out form. A method to move the futures price statically or manually.

Heat Map

Heat Map on Bid & Offer Disable on Price Disables: the Heat Map on bid and offer price. Disable on Size Disables: the Heat Map on bid and offer size. Disable on Edge Disables: the Heat Map on edge. Bid Over Theoretical: Choose the formats when the bid is over the theoretical price. Colors, font size and style. Offered Under Theoretical: Choose the formats when the offer is under the theoretical price. Colors, font size and style. Heat Map on Last Trade Disable on Last Trade: Disable the Heat Map on last trade. Disable Fading: Disables the color fading on last trade. Disables the color format fade into the original background color. Configure amount of time in the Display Time Field. Display Time: Set the fading time of Last Trade in seconds. When Buyer Initiates: Choose the formats when the buyer initiates the trade. Colors, font size and style. When Seller Initiates: Choose the formats when the seller initiates the trade. Colors, font size and style.
