Chart Sharing

Coming Soon!

The chart sharing feature will allow a user to share a chart layout to other users by creating a link that can be shared via email, txt, Discord, etc. A new button will be added to the chart window that when clicked, will publish the chart layout to the cloud. The publisher will be provided a text-based link. T4 users who obtain the link can use it to open a chart layout that follows the published chart. Updates to the published chart will be reflected to the viewers in real-time or near real-time.

  1. Click Share
  2. This will open the share chart popup window
  3. Click the copy button and it will copy the link to your clipboard.
  4. Click ok to finish.
  5. Clicking the On button will turn the sharing off.

Once this step is finished you can send the link to your user, via text, email, Discord etc…

Here is an example of the link text.

Only one instance of the shared chart can be displayed. Say the sharer closes his shared chart, but still has the link. he can open the link and begin sharing and editing again, on that same link. If he minimized the window, then tried to open the shared link, the frontend to just bring that window to the forefront.

Following

For now, to open a following chart window, go to main bar, click chart, then toggle to “open shared”

Paste the link and hit open

The following chart checks for updates in the share chart settings every 10s I did not disable the tabstrip at the top, so a following chart user can switch between expirations, but if the sharer updates his chart, it should switch it back on the follower. this can all be changed. notice the buttons on the follower are disable and a following icon is available in the toolstrip. if you click following, you can easily copy the link or unfollow so this chart stops getting updates

if the user unfollows, he'll need to open the share link to open a new following chart.
