There are many options for managing risk once Risk Management is enabled.

A lot of these settings can be configured in the account setup screen.

The Account Mode changes many different parameters.

Max Clip Size: The max lot that can be submitted at once.

Max Position: Amount of positions account is allowed to hold. Account Mode influences this setting.

Max Pit Trades: Amount of pit trades the account is allowed to hold. Account Mode influences this setting.

Block Expiring Futures and Options: Entering a value sets the amount of time away from the expiring contract that no more positions can be opened.

Daily Start and Stop Trading Time: Beginning and ending time of day positions can be opened.

• Accounts have multiple risk options and settings.
• Max Clip - The maximum size of an individual order that can be submitted. Enter 0 to prevent trading. Can be overridden for specific contracts.
• Max Position - The maximum position allowed in any individual market. Can be overridden for specific contracts.
• Overall Account position limits - Total position allowed for the Account as a whole across all contracts. This only applies to certain risk modes.
• Block Expiring Futures - The number of hours before a futures market last trading date and time that this account can no longer open positions in that market. This can be done for the account as a whole or it can be configured per product.
• Block Expiring Options - The number of hours before an options market last trading date and time that this account can no longer open positions in that market. This can be done for the account as a whole or it can be configured per product.
• Max Delta - The maximum allowed delta this account can have. Only availible in the ByPortfolio risk mode.
• Include Premium In Available Cash - Whether premiums is included in the available cash for margining. Only applies to ByPortfolio mode.
• Price Banding - If the difference between the settlement and order entry price in USD is greater than the amount entered here then the order will be rejected.
• Set Day Margin percentages - This can be done for the account as a whole or per product.
• Set Overnight Margin percentages - This can be done for the account as a whole or per product.
• Max Contract Day Margin - Maximum Margin increase allowed on any single contract during a single trading day. Can be overridden for specific contracts. Leave blank for no limit. Does NOT apply if AccountMode is ByMarket. Position Rollover must also be enabled.
• Loss limits - You can set day loss limits or you can set it to include overnight. You can also set loss limit based on percent.
• You can configure these settings along with Auto liquidation.
• Coming soon the ability to set Dollar margins instead of percent based.
